Ski-ing

Nestled in the foothills of the Pyrénées what better location for a Winter ski-ing holiday? After a day on the slopes you can relax in front of the log fire with a glass of wine and re-live the day’s events. Within an hour from the Farm you can be at one of the following ski resorts:

	Ax Bonsacre
	Mont d’Olmes

But dedicated ski-ers need not be restricted just to these resorts; Ariège offers many other pistes for both downhill and cross-country ski-ing further afield. For the more experienced, why not venture over to nearby Andorra and make it a twin centre holiday?

As ski-passes are bought locally on half, full or weekly basis you can do as much or as little ski-ing as you wish, offering a very flexible approach to your holiday. You may prefer to take a day off the slopes and spend time sightseeing in this beautiful and unspoilt area of France.

Le Périé offers ski-ing holidays on a half board basis, which consists of continental breakfast and 4-course dinner with wine.

The Resorts

Ax Bonsacre 1400m – 2400m

This resort offers 70 kms of downhill ski-ing on 26 pistes: 9 green, 4 blue, 11 red and 2 black. It has 12 draglifts, 4 chairlifts and 1 cable car. Facilites include: ski rental, crèche, restaurants and nearby Casino at the spa resort of Ax-les-Thermes.

Lift-passes: Adult (half-day) £9.00 (approx)

Mont d’Olmes 1400m – 2000m

This resort offers 18.5 kms of downhill ski-ing on 20 pistes: 5 green, 4 blue, 9 red and 2 black. It has 13 draglifts. Facilities include: Ski rental and restaurants.

Lift-passes: Adult (half-day) £7.00 (approx)

What’s not included?

	Hire of any ski equipment. If you have not brought your own, than these care be hired at your chosen resort.
	Lift passes. These are bought locally in euros and are on half/full days or week basis.
	Transport between Le Périé and the ski resorts. If going further afield remember you will need ski tyres and chains.
